Why AI tools name some businesses and not others
When someone asks which supplier, clinic or consultant to choose, AI tools that search the web read a handful of pages that rank well for that question, then sum them up. A business that is not on those pages is rarely named. A business that is on them but describes itself vaguely is named badly, or not at all.
That is why GEO and SEO are one piece of work for us. Ranking puts your pages in the pool the answer is built from. Clear, consistent writing decides what the answer says about you.
What changed for Medha AstroTarot
Medha had no website until May 2026. By late August, Google's AI Overview was naming her first for "online tarot delhi". On 6 October 2026, for "best tarot card reader", it described her as offering WhatsApp-based voice-note or written readings, with optional live sessions.
One fix mattered most. Her pages told two different stories about whether readings were live or recorded, and the AI Overview concluded she did not read live. We wrote one sentence that says exactly how a reading is delivered and used it word for word on every page. The AI answer now matches that sentence.
Three things to check on your own site
- Can AI tools read it? Some sites block ChatGPT and other AI crawlers in a file called robots.txt without knowing it. Our free audit checks this in under a minute.
- Does your homepage say what you do, where, and for whom? In one plain sentence an AI tool could quote. If a visitor cannot find that sentence, neither can an AI tool.
- Does every page agree with every other? Your services, hours, delivery and contact details should read the same on your site, your Google Business Profile and your listings.
How long it takes
Our goal for every client: page one on Google and a place in Google's AI Overview for your main searches, within three months. Google makes the final call, so we treat it as a goal we report on honestly, and you can see where you stand on your dashboard every day.
Questions people ask
How do I know if ChatGPT mentions my business?
Ask it the questions your customers ask, in a private window, and note which businesses it names. Google Search Console also reports how often your pages appear in Google's AI features. We check both every month for our clients.
Does this work for a small business?
Yes. Medha is a one-person practice, and Google's AI Overview names her first for some of her searches. What matters is how well your pages answer the question, not the size of the business.
Is GEO a different service from SEO?
We do them as one piece of work. AI answers mostly quote pages that already rank, so the ranking work comes first and the writing for AI answers is built into the same pages.
